Hobbs joins linebackers Milo Eifler and Jake Hansen as they declared for the draft this past week.
He started four years at cornerback for the fighting Illini and was one of their best players on defense. This past season, Hobbs had 31 total tackles (22 solo) with an interception.
His best season at the school came during his junior season at 2019. He had 67 tackles (44 solo) with one interception and a fumble recovery. He also had nine passes defended during that season.
For his career, Hobbs totaled 168 tackles (110 solo) with 14 passes defended and three interceptions.
We’ll have to see where he’s picked in the draft when it comes around in late April and early May of this year.
