Penn State is losing another talented lineman to the NFL.

On Tuesday, defensive end Shareef Miller announced that he would pursue his opportunity at the next level. Later in the day, offensive lineman Connor McGovern announced that he will also be preparing for the NFL Draft.

McGovern made his announcement via Twitter.

“After much research, thought and discussion, I have decided to declare for the NFL Draft,” McGovern said in a statement.

McGovern started in 35 career games for the Nittany Lions, mostly at right guard or center. Last season, he spent a majority of the year at center. In 2018, he made the move to right guard.

McGovern was a member of an offensive line that paved the way for star running backs Saquon Barkley and Miles Sanders. He also protected Trace McSorley, who owns a number of Penn State records.
