The wins just keep coming for Michigan State.

After pulling off the upset on the road against Michigan on Saturday, the Spartans picked up a commitment on Sunday. The latest Spartan commit is Shakari Denson, an athlete out of Claxton High School in Georgia.

Denson will be part of Tucker’s Class of 2021. According to 247Sports, Michigan State was the only Power 5 team to offer Denson. Other schools that offered the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder included Georgia State, Kent State, Ohio and Savannah State.

There must be something specific Michigan State sees in Denson. He was unranked and the Spartans weren’t going up against much competition for Denson.

If Tucker is going to succeed in East Lansing, it’s going to come by finding diamonds in the rough such as Denson. This may look like a really smart decision in a few years. Or we will completely forget about it.
