Anthony Walker, Jr. fulfills special promise he made to his father 11 years ago

Eleven years passed by but Anthony Walker, Jr. never forgot a promise he made to his father when he was a 10-year-old.
Walker always dreamed of playing of the NFL. And as a boy, he said that he was ever lucky enough to make it to football’s highest level, he’d purchase a car for his father.
After a stellar career at Northwestern, the linebacker was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Walker’s dream had come true.
So it was time for him to come through on his promise. And that’s exactly what Walker did:

That’s a pretty special moment.
It’s not uncommon for professional athletes to purchase cars or even houses for their families, but for Walker to make the promise as a 10-year-old is pretty incredible.
Walker declared for the NFL Draft after a tremendous junior season. He tallied 105 tackles, including 10 stops for loss.
In three years at Northwestern, Walker accounted for 276 tackles, 39.5 stops for loss and four interceptions. He was an All-B1G selection and an All-American honoree after the 2015 campaign.
