Antoine Winfield Jr. continues to produce takeaways in the NFL, securing his first interception of the season on Sunday Night Football.

Through the first 3 games of the season, Winfield had not registered a takeaway. He has been active with Tampa Bay’s defense, registering 18 tackles and a pass defended but was without a forced fumble or sack.

In Sunday’s game against New England, Winfield has picked off a pass from rookie Mac Jones in wet conditions. The pass by Jones was a hurried throw with pressure in his face and was tipped up into the air.

Winfield was already moving in the direction of Jones’ pass and rose up to secure the interception:

It goes down as Winfield’s 2nd career interception. He registered an interception, 2 forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, 3 sacks, and 6 passes defended as a rookie in 2020.
