AP Sports includes 4 B1G stars on All-America teams for 2022-23 season

The AP Sports has released its full All-America picks for the 2022-23 college basketball season with 4 B1G stars landing across the three teams.

To no surprise, Purdue’s Zach Edey and Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis were first-team selections. It is the B1G’s third straight season with multiple first-team selections and the fifth straight season with at least one first-team selection for the B1G.

Edey was the lone unanimous pick from the group while appearing on all 58 ballots. The B1G has now produced 7 first-team All-Americans through the last three seasons. No other conference has produced more than 3 in that same span.

Penn State’s Jalen Pickett and Iowa’s Kris Murray also appeared on the All-America selections. Here are the full selections:

First-Team All-America

  • Jalen Wilson, Kansas
  • Brandon Miller, Alabama
  • Marcus Sasser, Houston

Second-Team All-America

  • Jalen Pickett, Penn State
  • Oscar Tshiebwe, Kentucky
  • Jaime Jaquez Jr., UCLA
  • Drew Timme, Gonzaga
  • Azuolas Tubelis, Arizona

Third-Team All-America

  • Kris Murray, Iowa
  • Markquis Nowell, Kansas State
  • Keyontae Johnson, Kansas State
  • Tyler Kolek, Marquette
  • Armando Bacot, UNC
