The AP Top 25 for Week 9 has been revealed.

The Big Ten is extremely well-represented, particularly at the top of this week’s rankings. Oregon claimed the No. 1 spot on Sunday — one week after its high-profile victory over Ohio State in Eugene. Oregon is No. 1 in the AP Top 25 for the first time since the 2012 season — Chip Kelly’s final year at the helm.

Penn State and Ohio State are also in the top 5 at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. However, after that trio, Indiana is the next highest-ranked Big Ten team at No. 13. The Hoosiers are 7-0 and moved up 3 spots this week after its blowout win over Nebraska in Week 8.

Illinois held on to its top 25 ranking this week thanks to its big win over Michigan. The Wolverines fell out of the top 25 this week, meaning the Big Ten has just 5 teams represented in the top 25 entering Week 9.

Following Georgia’s 30-15 win in Austin this weekend, Texas fell out of the No. 1 spot all the way down to No. 5. The Bulldogs rose up from No. 5 to No. 2 as a result of that decisive victory over the Longhorns.

Tennessee made a significant jump up to No. 7 thanks to its win over Alabama on Saturday. The Vols are now back in the mix to potentially earn a berth in the SEC Championship Game depending on how the rest of the season plays out. As for the Crimson Tide, they fell down to No. 15 this week after picking up their second defeat of the season.

LSU stayed put at No. 8 after its big win over Arkansas this weekend. The Tigers will face Texas A&M in a top-25 showdown during Week 9. The Aggies also stayed where they were at No. 14 this week following their win over Mississippi State.

Ole Miss remains No. 18 in the AP Poll this week while Missouri fell a couple of spots to No. 21 after its close win over Auburn. Vanderbilt is the only other SEC team who cracked the top-25 this week, coming in at No. 25.
