Apparently Mel Tucker is obsessed with watching film: ‘That’s my binky’

Michigan State is in the middle of fall camp as they get ready for the Northwestern Wildcats in just a little over two weeks.
Head coach Mel Tucker, who is in his second season with the Spartans, loves everything about football. That includes watching film.
Tucker loves watching tape and was planning to watch it as soon as his press conference with the media ended today.
“That’s like my pacifier, my binky, “said Tucker, according to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press. “Get that remote in my hand and it’s like, ahhhh.”
Mel Tucker plans to go watch MSU’s practice film as soon as press conference ends. Loves watching tape, he adds. “That’s like my pacifier, my binky. Get that remote in my hand and it’s like, ahhhh.”

The Spartans are coming off a rocky 2020 season where they went 2-5. However, their two wins did come against a ranked Michigan and Northwestern team, something Tucker and his team can build off heading into the 2021 season.
The Spartans have a demanding schedule this upcoming fall where they are on the road against Northwestern, Miami (FL.), Indiana and Ohio State.
The Spartans open the season at the Northwestern Wildcats Friday, Sept. 3, in Evanston, IL.
