Tommy Armstrong is out for Saturday’s game against Maryland

Tommy Armstrong will not get to throw a touchdown on senior day.
The Nebraska quarterback will be sidelined for Saturday’s game against Maryland because of the hamstring injury that he suffered last week.
In Armstrong’s place, the Huskers will turn to Ryker Fyfe. In Fyfe’s only career start, the Huskers suffered a devastating loss at Purdue last year.
Armstrong played through hamstring and ankle injuries in Nebraska’s win against Minnesota. Armstrong’s three touchdowns included the game-winning score, which helped earn him the B1G Offensive Player of the Week honor.
He started all but one game since his freshman year. If and when Armstrong makes his next start, he’ll set the Nebraska record for career starts at the quarterback position.
The Huskers and Terps are set for kickoff at 11 a.m. CT.
