Army bound: Nebraska WR/QB Zack Darlington makes admirable decision to forgo senior year

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are losing a valuable backup ahead of the 2018 season, but it’s for a better reason than most departures.
On Tuesday, rising senior QB/WR Zack Darlington announced he was going to forgo his senior year with the Huskers.
But, as you can see in his tweet below, he’s doing it so he can join the Army, which he says has always been one of his two biggest dreams:

Darlington played sparingly in his four years in Lincoln, attempting only one pass last year (a -5 yard completion). His production on the field won’t be missed, but when you lose a leader like Darlington, the locker room will feel it.
However, he’s made his choice, and hopefully he takes that same passion he has for Nebraska football with him to the Army.
