Athlon Sports releases ‘Way-Too-Early’ Top 25 for 2018

It’s never too early to start thinking about next season. And with only the national championship game left, Athlon Sports has released its Top 25 for the 2018 season.
There should be no surprise that Alabama and Clemson are sitting atop the way-too-early rankings, as both have dominated the sport over the last three seasons. But a few other teams were ranked surprisingly high, and others maybe a bit too low.
Five teams from the B1G were ranked in the Top 25, with all being placed inside the top 11 spots. Essentially, the B1G is the best conference in college football heading into the 2018 season according to Athlon.

- Mississippi State
- West Virginia
- Oregon
- Kansas State
- Florida
