“This was a gut punch to KJ, being charged the day before Thanksgiving,” Nichols said. “He’s going to get through it. While you’re up, having turkey, watching football, think of the seven young men whose lives have been up-ended by these criminal charges.”
Crump was charged with felonious assault to go along with his involvement in violation of MCL 750.82. Five players were also charged with 1 count of aggravated assault, while LB Jacoby Windmon was charged with assault and battery.
