B1G-ACC Challenge: Date, time, TV channels for annual basketball series

Football is king, no doubt about it. However, we are entering the time of year where casual fans head toward the hardwood when the pigskin isn’t being flung around.

Each year, in college basketball, the Big Ten and ACC conferences meet up and participate in a challenge, pitting teams from the conferences against each other. Bragging rights and potential NCAA Tournament seeding is at stake, despite it only being early-December.

All 14 Big Ten teams get in on the action and games start Monday, Dec. 2. Six games take place on Tuesday, Dec. 3 and then another six will tip-off on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Below are the date, time and TV channels for each of the B1G-ACC games. All times listed are ET.

Monday, Dec. 2:

  • Miami-Illinois, 7 p.m., ESPN2
  • Clemson-Minnesota, 9 p.m., ESPN2

Tuesday, Dec. 3:

  • Northwestern-Boston College, 7 p.m., ESPNU
  • Iowa-Syracuse, 7 p.m., ESPN2
  • Michigan-Louisville, 7:30 p.m., ESPN2
  • Florida State-Indiana, 9 p.m., ESPN2
  • Rutgers-Pittsburgh, 9 p.m., ESPNU
  • Duke-Michigan State, 9:30 p.m., ESPN

Wednesday, Dec. 4:

  • Virginia-Purdue, 7:15 p.m., ESPN2
  • Nebraska-Georgia Tech, 7:15 p.m., ESPNU
  • Notre Dame-Maryland, 7:30 p.m., ESPN
  • Wake Forest-Penn State, 9:15 p.m., ESPNU
  • Wisconsin-NC State, 9:15 p.m., ESPN2
  • Ohio State-North Carolina, 9:30 p.m., ESPN
