The Big Ten has announced its top players following Week 7.
Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields is back amongst the Big Ten Players of the Week after the Buckeyes missed a couple games due to COVID-19. Fields was sensational against Michigan State, totaling four touchdowns in a 52-12 win.
Defensively, Indiana has extended its streak to four straight weeks with a Big Ten Player of the Week honoree. Linebacker Micah McFadden had six tackles and two sacks in the Hoosiers’ upset win over Wisconsin. IU punter Hayden Whitehead is also an honoree this week.
Joey Porter Jr., the son of former Pittsburgh Steeler Joey Power, also made the cut as freshman of the week. He had seven total tackles and a tackle for loss in a win over Rutgers last week.
