The B1G has revealed the conference’s Players of the Week from the Week 9 slate of games Monday morning.
The dramatic week of action provided some explosive performers as we get ready to turn the calendar to November. The B1G also had one defensive performance that was clearly head and shoulders above the rest coming out of the weekend.
Without further ado, here are the B1G Players of the Week from the weekend that was:
Offensive Player of the Week
- RB Blake Corum, Michigan
Corum had another electrifying performance this season, this time in a rivalry blowout over Michigan State. He finished the game with 177 rushing yards and 2 total touchdowns as the Wolverines controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the game.

Defensive Player of the Week
- DE JT Tuimoloau, Ohio State
The least surprising selection of the week, Tuimoloau garners POTW honors after terrorizing Penn State to the tune of 6 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 TFL, 2 interceptions, and a forced fumble. Tuimoloau also returned one interception for a pick-6 and broke up a pass that resulted in an interception for Zach Harrison.

Special Teams Player of the Week
- K Jake Moody, Michigan
Michigan’s red-zone struggles against Michigan State were not great, but Moody made sure those trips did not come up in vain. He finished 5-for-5 on field goals, including a career-long 54-yard kick, and finished with 17 total points in Michigan’s 29-7 win.
