The B1G has named the Players of the Week following the seventh week of the college football season.

A few familiar faces have received some honors this week, while a few newbies also earned some recognition for their performance. All four were extremely deserving of the award.

Here are the B1G Players of the Week following Week 7 action:

J.T. Barrett was tabbed as the Offensive Player of the Week after completing 27-of-33 passes for 325 yards and five touchdowns in Ohio State’s 56-14 win over Nebraska. The Buckeye quarterback also had two rushing touchdowns on the night.

After recording nine tackles and making a clutch interception in the fourth quarter against Purdue, Leon Jacobs out of Wisconsin was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Northwestern received great contributions from kicker Charlie Kuhbander on Saturday in a 37-21 win over Maryland. The Wildcats kicker was 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts and was 4-for-4 on extra point attempts.

This is becoming somewhat of a weekly occurrence for Wisconsin’s Jonathan Taylor. The Badger back tallied 219 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries in the win over Purdue.
