B1G basketball announces Player of the Week awards following Week 6

While the college basketball world continues to deal with and juggle multiple interruptions due to COVID-19, the B1G unveiled its weekly Player of the Week honors on Monday.
Headlining that group is Player of the Week Keggan Murray of Iowa. Murray set a new career-high with 35 points in a win over Utah State. He added 7 rebounds, 2 steals, an assist, and a block and was responsible for one stretch of 18 consecutive points for the Hawkeyes. It is Murray’s second Player of the Week honor.

Michigan’s Kobe Bufkin was the first of 2 Co-Freshman of the Week recipients. Bufkin scored 14 points in a win, marking his first career game in double figures.

Nebraska’s Bryce McGowens was the other Co-Freshman of the Week. McGowens netted 14 points in the game vs. Kansas State and earned his 3rd Freshman of the Week honors of the season.
