An important weekend it was for Iowa and Michigan State.
Both state unbeaten, albeit in different fashions. Both teams could easily be unbeaten well into November, which projects well for their bowl aspirations.
Jerry Palm believes that, as well.
The CBSSports.com college football analyst slotted both of those programs in New Year’s Six bowls, along with Ohio State, in his latest projections. No other conference had that many teams in those coveted six games.
Last week, Palm had a record 11 B1G teams in bowl games. This week, he dropped Indiana, which put the conference total back to 10.
Here’s where he has each B1G team playing in the postseason:
Orange Bowl: Ohio State vs. Clemson (College Football Playoff)
Rose Bowl: Michigan State vs. Stanford
Fiesta Bowl: Iowa vs. Utah
Citrus Bowl: Michigan vs. Florida
Outback Bowl: Northwestern vs. Texas A&M
Holiday Bowl: Wisconsin vs. Arizona State
Music City Bowl: Penn State vs. Mississippi State
Armed Forces Bowl: Illinois vs. Air Force
Foster Farms Bowl: Nebraska vs. UCLA
Pinstripe Bowl: Minnesota vs. Duke
