B1G Coach of the Year? CFB fans praise David Braun following gutsy win over Maryland

David Braun is garnishing lots of praise after a big win over Maryland on Saturday.
The interim head coach has led Northwestern to a 4-4 start and he has picked up several solid wins over Minnesota and now Maryland. The Wildcats are certainly exceeding expectations for their season and they still have the chance to notch a few more big wins before the season is over.
Northwestern has Iowa, Wisconsin, Purdue and Illinois left on the schedule this year, and after what the Wildcats did on Saturday against Maryland, those games seem very winnable.
Following the game, fans and media had high praise for Braun, with some people even pitching the idea that Braun should be the B1G coach of the year for the way he has exceeded expectations this season.

Don't look now, but Northwestern's David Braun has a legitimate shot at taking home Big Ten coach of the year honors. Few expected the Wildcats to be competitive based on talent and the offseason turmoil, yet here they are at .500 heading into November.
