The B1G has been one of the nations’ premier conferences in football and Men’s basketball for the last decade.
Usually, universities that are good at football are not always necessarily good at basketball and vice versa. Hence the phrase “Oh, they’re a basketball school.”
A few teams in the B1G, though, can do both and have the AP rankings to show for it.
Get you a school that can do both 🤝😏

4 out of the top 5 schools on the list above are B1G schools that excelled on the field and the court. Here is the list in order:
- Ohio State
- Wisconsin
- Michigan
- Michigan State
3 out of the 4 teams so far in the B1G season are ranked, and Michigan State beating No.24 Miami on the road yesterday should be well on their way to be ranked in this edition of the AP Top-25 Poll.
All 4 of these teams made the NCAA Tournament last season in basketball. Ohio State was a 2 seed that lost in the first round. Wisconsin was a 9 seed losing in the second round, Michigan was a 1 seed losing in the Elite 8 and Michigan State was an 11 seed on the bubble losing in the First Four.
All 4 of these teams look to be a problem on the gridiron and the hardwood for the 2021-22 season.
