It’s almost time for B1G basketball to start. Before the season begins, On3 Sports’ Jamie Shaw ranked the five best transfers who are coming to B1G country.

At the top was Charlotte transfer Jahmir Young. Young now plays for Maryland after averaging 19.6 points per game for the 49ers last season.

Illinois’ Terrence Shannon Jr. and Michigan’s Jaelin Llewellyn were No. 2 and No. 3. Shannon is one of two transfers from Baylor that got mentioned. He averaged 10.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2 assists per game for the Red Raiders in 2021.

Llewellyn helped lead Princeton to a 23-7 record last season.

Next up was Isaac Likekele. Ohio State convinced him to transfer from Oklahoma State. Likekele is a guard who comes in at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds.

Last but not least was Dawson Garcia. Garcia comes to Minnesota after transferring from North Carolina. He averaged 9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.7 assists last season for the Tarheels.

Other players who got honorable mentions were:

  • Sam Griesel: North Dakota State to Nebraska
  • Matthew Mayer: Baylor to Illinois
  • Don Carey: Georgetown to Maryland
  • Ta’lon Cooper: Morehead State to Minnesota
  • Emmanuel Bandoumel: SMU to Nebraska
  • Sean McNeil: West Virginia to Ohio State
  • Cam Winter: Drexler to Penn State
