The B1G has had a pretty good year. Two teams, Ohio State and Michigan, are undefeated in the east division and in contention to make the College Football Playoff. Out of the west, Illinois has been one of the nation’s surprises, despite a recent stumble.
The heated rivals also sport three semifinalists for the Walter Camp Player of the Year award. The Fighting Illini are also represented on the list. The nominations include 18 other players from around the country.
The four B1G selections are:
- RB Chase Brown, Illinois
- RB Blake Corum, Michigan
- WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State
- QB CJ Stroud, Ohio State
Nobody has ran for more yards to date then Brown. The running back has rushed for 1,442 yards on 280 attempts and 7 touchdowns. Brown has been a key part to Illinois’ 7-3 record.
Corum, a Heisman hopeful, has rushed for 1,349 yards on 227 attempts and 17 touchdowns. The Michigan running back has rushed for over 100 yards in every B1G game this season. Corum went off against Maryland for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns earlier this year.
Harrison has done a great job this season with Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the sidelines. The Ohio State wideout has 60 receptions for 969 yards and 11 touchdowns. Harrison caught 7 passes for 135 yards and 1 touchdown in his latest outing against Indiana.
Stroud has been the face of the Ohio State offense. The quarterback has thrown for 2,750 yards and 34 touchdowns with 4 interceptions. Stroud is also in contention for the Heisman Trophy award.
