There are some familiar names being recognized this week as the B1G announced its Players of the Week on Monday morning.
Michigan kicker Quinn Nordin and Ohio State’s J.K. Dobbins are both raking in their second Player of the Week honors in the first three weeks of the season.
Nordin was tabbed Special Teams Player of the Week after converting on 5-of-5 field goal attempts with a long of 49 yards in Michigan’s victory Saturday.

Dobbins rushed for 172 yards and two TDs on just 13 carries for the Buckeyes. He shared Freshman of the Week honors with Rutgers QB Johnathan Lewis, who accounted for five touchdowns in the Scarlet Knights’ 65-0 win over Morgan State.

Defensive Player of the Week honors went to Minnesota’s Jacob Huff, who recorded four stops, a tackle for loss and returned an interception for a touchdown in the Gophers’ 34-3 win over Middle Tennessee.

Wisconsin’s Alex Hornibrook brought Offensive Player of the Week honors back to Madison after completing 18-of-19 passes for 256 yards and four touchdowns.

There were plenty of excellent performances during Week 3 in the B1G, but the Players of the Week certainly separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
