The Big Ten Network’s Joshua Perry has his eye on Iowa running back Tyler Goodson this week.
Perry identified him as a key player in the Hawkeyes matchup with Penn State on Saturday.
“I’m picking Tyler Goodson, the running back for the Hawkeyes, to cook this week,” Perry said in a video. “He’s a guy who can get you yards on the interior of the run game. He’s a guy who can you yards on the edge and we’ve also seen him catch the ball out of the backfield. Now this Iowa offense, they’ve been a little bit up and down this year. But he’s a big reason why they have success when they’re explosive.”
Here’s Perry’s full analysis:

Goodson already has 430 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns this season. He’s also caught 12 passes for 146 yards and a score. Most of that production has come vs. defenses expecting the run, as Iowa’s passing game has struggled to be threatening this season.
With a win, Iowa would be firmly in the driver’s seat for the Big Ten West title. Iowa does not currently have another ranked team on its schedule.
Kickoff is at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday.
