A big date is coming up soon for a B1G target from the 2024 class. The recruit announced his commitment date on social media on Tuesday.

Jonathan Paylor broke the news about his commitment via his Twitter account. He will be making a decision on Aug. 5 at Hugh M. Cummings High School at 2 p.m. ET.

Paylor is leaning towards South Carolina, Maryland, North Carolina and N.C. State according to 247Sports. Penn State is another B1G school that is in the mix.

The 247Sports Composite lists Paylor as the No. 10 athlete and second-best prospect from North Carolina in the 2024 class. He comes in at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds as a 4-star athlete.

Paylor has experience on both sides of the ball. He has played RB and shown that he can also make plays as a pass catcher. Paylor can also do some damage on the defensive side of the ball.

The Nittany Lions have three athletes already committed to them from the 2024 class. Quinton Martin, Josiah Brown, and Caleb Brewer are the only athletes in James Franklin’s class so far.

Maryland has one athlete commit so far from the 2024 class. Paylor would be joining Josiah McLaurin if he goes with the Terps.

Stay tuned for updates regarding Paylor’s commitment status.
