The B1G women’s basketball tournament is heating up with quarterfinal matchups in store for Friday. It will be the first game of the tournament for the top 4 seeds in the conference.
First up is a matchup between Michigan State and top-seeded Ohio State. The two sides played in the regular-season finale with the Buckeyes winning 61-55 to clinch a share of the regular-season title.
Following will be a game between Indiana and 4-seed Maryland. The two sides finished 4th and 5th in the conference standings with the teams splitting the regular-season series. Maryland most recently beat Indiana in the regular-season finale.
Northwestern will face 2-seed and co-champion Iowa to start Friday evening’s action. The two sides split their regular-season matchups with Caitlin Clark scoring 28 points in a 72-67 overtime victory in January.
The final game of the day comes between Nebraska and 3-seed Michigan. The Wolverines had a chance to clinch the regular-season title in the season finale but were blown out by the Hawkeyes in Iowa City.
All of Friday’s action will be televised on BTN.
