Former President Barack Obama was the special guest for the Week 7 version of ManningCast.
The former president joined the Mannings for his hometown Bears’ matchup with the Patriots. During the broadcast, Obama compared Justin Fields to fellow QB Daniel Jones.
I will let you decide if the former president means this as a compliment or not.
“[Justin] Fields reminds me a bit of Daniel Jones.” – Barack Obama

The Fields-Jones comparison makes some sense. Both QBs are former 1st-round picks who have had underwhelming starts to their careers. Both QBs can make plays with their legs. Jones and Fields are also similarly-sized.
In 2019, Jones’ rookie season, the QB had 3,027 yards to go with 24 TDs and 12 INTs.

All-in-all, not a bad comparison by the former president.
