Saturday’s matchup with Syracuse is shaping up to be an interesting one for Mike Locksley and the Terrapins.
Maryland started 2019 with a bang, putting up 79 points in the Week 1 opener against Howard. It was a great first game for Locksley to start the season, and the Terrapins are hoping to return to a bowl for the first time since 2016 with him at the helm.

The next opponent on the schedule is Syracuse who comes into the game ranked No. 21 in the country. With that in mind, it was not too surprising when the Terrapins opened as slight underdogs by the Vegas betting lines.
What is surprising is that the betting line took a drastic turn on Tuesday. According to Lila Bromberg with The Testudo Times, the Terrapins are now listed as 1.5-2.0 point favorites in the game. That is after being listed as 3-4 point underdogs on Monday:
Maryland football is now favored by 1.5 to 2 points over No. 21 Syracuse.
Yesterday, the Terps were 3 to 4 point underdogs to the Orange.

What do you think that means for the upcoming showdown? Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 12 pm EST on ESPN.
