Biff Poggi couldn’t contain his silence on the Michigan scandal any longer.

Poggi was on staff at Michigan from 2021-2022 as an associate head coach and went on social media to offer some insight about the alleged sign stealing scandal on Friday.

Poggi argued that if Jim Harbaugh would have known about it, so would the former assistant. Poggi was willing to bet his reputation on it. He urged all of those who want to see Harbaugh punished to stop whining and get better.

“I have been quiet on the Michigan situation BUT NO longer. I was closer to Jim Harbaugh over the last three years than anyone except his wife and kids,” said Poggi. “If Jim knew I would have known. I didn’t know and neither did he. I stake my reputation on it. Stop whining and get a better team.”

Poggi currently is the head coach for Charlotte, who is in its first season in the American Athletic Conference. The 49ers joined along with UTSA, FAU, UAB, Rice, and North Texas from the C-USA this offseason.

The latest update on the investigation came from ESPN’s Heather Dinich who hinted that a response from the B1G could be on Friday afternoon.

Poggi made sure to let everyone know where he stands.
