TCU has decided to make a major change within its football program and it comes at the tippy top.

The university and head coach Gary Patterson mutually agreed to part ways on Sunday evening and the move is effective immediately, according to multiple reports.

Patterson had been with the Horned Frogs for over 2 decades and did a remarkable job as the head man. He finishes his tenure there with a 181-79 record, with 1 undefeated season (13-0) and a Rose Bowl win in 2010.

The program hasn’t been able to get back to that level, especially the last 4 years. The Horned Frogs have a 21-22 record since their 2017 season and are having a tough 2021 season. They’re just 3-5 overall and 1-4 in conference play after a 31-12 loss to Kansas State on Saturday.
