Northwestern had a chance to extend its lead over Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game, but ended up giving the Buckeyes the momentum they were looking for.
Facing 3rd and 8, Wildcats quarterback Peyton Ramsey threw an end zone fade route that ended up getting picked off by linebacker Justin Hilliard.

That’s the worst-case scenario for Northwestern, as the Wildcats were in position to extend their lead to at least seven points with a field goal.
It also was a nice answer for Ohio State after quarterback Justin Fields was picked off in the end zone at the end of the first half.
Ohio State is currently ranked No. 4 in the College Football Playoff and likely is playing for a berth in the semifinals.
The Buckeyes were 20.5 point favorites coming into this game and still trail 10-6 midway through the third quarter.
