The 2018 college football season is about to begin.
Aren’t you excited? We all are.
But, it’s never too early to look ahead. Sure, 2018 is on the forefront of everybody’s minds. But looking at who your favorite team is playing and when in the seasons ahead is surely interesting.
On Wednesday, the Big Ten released to conference schedules for the 2022-2025 seasons.

Of note, it’s extremely common to see one Big Ten team play another Big Ten team in the first three weeks of the season. From 2022-2025, only Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State and Iowa appear to not have another Big Ten opponent on their schedule until Week 4.
The other 10 schools in the conference will have a Big Ten matchup within the first three weeks.
Illinois is also unique in the fact that it is the only Big Ten team to play a conference foe in three of those four seasons in the first week of the year (at Wisconsin in 2022, home to Purdue in 2024 and home to Nebraska in 2025).
