Big Ten announces men’s basketball postseason awards

Zach Edey led a decorated group of Big Ten players to receive postseason awards as the Purdue big man won the Player of the Year award.
The coaches’ team is made up of Illinois’ Terrence Shannon Jr., Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis, Iowa’s Kris Murray, Penn State’s Jalen Pickett and Edey.
The media also selected Jackson-Davis, Pickett, Murray and Edey, but also included Michigan’s Hunter Dickinson, and Northwestern’s Boo Buie.
Indiana’s Jalen Hood-Schifino was the Freshman of the Year, and Iowa’s Payton Sandfort received the 6th Man of the Year honor. The Co-Defensive Players of the Year are Northwestern’s Chase Audige and Rutgers’ Caleb McConnell.
Northwestern’s Chris Collins won the Coach of the Year honor.
