The Big Ten basketball schedule features 2 games for Saturday, January 22.
However, the action got started on Friday night. No. 14 Michigan State beat No. 8 Wisconsin on the road 86-74. The Spartans were led by Malik Hall’s 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five different Michigan State players scored in double figures.
Maryland also pounded No. 17 Illinois 81-65 Friday night. Alfonso Plummer scored a Terrapins-high 18 points in the win.
Saturday’s Nebraska at Ohio State game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Husker program. Nebraska fell below the Big Ten roster minimum; so, the game had to be postponed.
