Big Ten Media Days 2025: Day 2 podium schedule
By Paul Harvey
Published:
Big Ten Media Days 2025 is here with the league heading west for the annual event for the first time.
Previously, media days were routinely held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Now that the West Coast is involved, the Big Ten is heading to Las Vegas for this year’s event, which began on Tuesday afternoon and continues through Wednesday and Thursday.
On Tuesday, Tony Petitti kicked off the event and tackled many questions, including a wide range on his preference for the future of the College Football Playoff. The Big Ten remains adamantly in favor of a system with allocated bids per conference and play-in games that would decide the spots on the field, and Petitti also reinforced the idea that the Big Ten is among the toughest leagues in the country.
From the coaches, Curt Cignetti continued his brash press conference nature by backing up Indiana’s 2024 schedule as one that followed the SEC’s scheduling philosophy, a clear dig at the SEC’s 8-game conference schedule. Ryan Day, the reigning national title winner, also took his time at the podium to wrap things up.
On Wednesday, PJ Fleck will kick things off as the first coach of the day, and James Franklin will also be included to wrap things up. Penn State is the preseason favorite in the B1G this year, and Dan Lanning will also be on hand Wednesday after his Oregon squad won the 2024 B1G title over the Nittany Lions.
