The Big Ten Network is currently on its preseason tour of Big Ten campuses, and Michigan was No. 6 on the list.

Analyst Joshua E. Perry shared three key takeaways from his time in Ann Arbor.

First and foremost, Perry said he was impressed with Michigan’s “body types.”

“This is a team that’s spent a ton of time in the weight room trying to figure out exactly what they need from a physical stand point, and it definitely shows on the field,” Perry said.

Perry also took note of Michigan’s new defensive scheme under Mike Macdonald.

“I think that the players and the coaches all really like what’s going on,” Perry said. “You can see right now that the dividends are paying off right now by the scheme change.”

Finally, Perry said Michigan’s intensity in practice was impressive.

“They’re going to be ready to roll this fall, should be a lot better than what we saw last year,” Perry added.
