Big Ten Network to feature Jim Delany in latest episode of ‘The B1G Story’
Jim Delany has just a few days left as the commissioner of the B1G. After 30 seasons in his role, he’s decided to step down from his position and allowing someone else to take control of the conference.
Delany is praised for all of his significant accomplishments during his career as commissioner. He expanded the league from 10 teams to 14, partnered with FOX to create the Big Ten Network and has landed multi-billion dollar television deals for the league.
He’s been one of the most influential commissioners in college athletics.
To highlight his journey, success and accomplishments during that 30-year stretch, Big Ten Network will feature Delany in an episode of “The B1G Story,” a documentary series about some of the biggest stories from the conference.
The feature on Delany is scheduled to air on BTN at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 22.
Kevin Warren will be the sixth commissioner of the B1G and will take over for Delany in January.
