Bill Busch tabs special teams standouts for Nebraska, says unit does the ‘ordinary extraordinary’

Bill Busch is working to get his special teams unit up to speed for the 2022 season. After a dismal showing by the unit in 2021, Busch was fired up when discussing the progress throughout fall camp.
On Tuesday, Busch was pleased with how special teams performed during wet conditions in practice. He felt it was a good precursor for what the Huskers are likely to face during the game in Dublin.

Busch also likes the intensity of the unit and labeled the group as doing the “ordinary extraordinary.” Hopefully, that is an attention to detail that was missing from the group in 2021.
Busch also said the unit knows who is starting and handling all the kicking options.

As for who is standing out on special teams, Bill Busch highlighted Chris Kolarevic and running back Rahmir Johnson. Johnson in particular is already expected to be used a variety of ways with Nebraska’s offense. It will be interesting to see if Johnson is also added as a return option for the Huskers.
