Blake Corum continues to pile up Michigan records and the team continues to win in spite of a lot of adversity, per the team’s star running back. Speaking with the media in a video teleconference, Corum admitted the team has been through a lot in 2023.
Corum also said the team has “been called all types of names” this season after the program was investigated for sign-stealing allegations. As a result, Corum said people “don’t think we’re good” while citing the adversity of Jim Harbaugh’s absence and the in-season firing of Chris Partridge.
As for Harbaugh returning to the sideline in Indianapolis, Corum said it would be “great” and like “a reunion” for the team. The Wolverines have gone 12-0 this season, including six wins without Harbaugh on the sidelines.
Corum: “We’ve been through a lot. We’ve been called all types of names. People don’t think we’re good at football because of this and that and just so much going on. [Harbaugh] gets suspended for 3 games and linebacker coach gets fired. Just so many things getting thrown at you.”

Michigan has not been without adversity this season, though some rival fans certainly do not like that term due to the investigation in play. At the end of the day, Harbaugh’s punishment from the Big Ten has been served, and the Wolverines still have a shot at a B1G title and more this season.
