Blake Corum and J.J. McCarthy spoke to FOX’s Jenny Taft after Michigan’s 24-15 win over Penn State at Beaver Stadium on Saturday.

The Wolverines defeated the Nittany Lions despite the suspension of Jim Harbaugh, who was suspended by the B1G for the remainder of the regular season amid an investigation into alleged sign-stealing by a former Michigan staffer.

Corum discussed the response of his fellow players following a difficult last few weeks.

“We did this for Michigan,” he said “What are you going to do when your back’s against the wall, when you feel like everyone’s against you? What are you going to do? Are you going to cower down? Oh, I was taught to stand on all 10. Keep playing. Keep fighting. Keep punching. … Coach Harbaugh, this is for you, baby.”

McCarthy mentioned the unusual feel of the game without Harbaugh on the sideline.

“It’s just different without his presence on this field. No matter what happens I can’t wait to get him back…Love you coach,” he said.

Michigan next travels to Maryland.
