Blake Corum shares advice Jim Harbaugh shared with him after the injury

Blake Corum was aware of the perception fans may have had of him after his injury last season. And the Michigan running back openly wondered how he might be remembered.
As for advice he received, Corum said coach Jim Harbaugh told him to get the surgery, and to “go to the league.” However, that advice came before Corum’s knee surgery, and before he considered returning to Michigan. Then the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was put on hold because he realized that the Combine would not be possible, and other workouts in front of scouts would be limited, if they’re available at all.
During a segment with the 33rd team, Corum detailed his path back to the field and his decision to keep the NFL waiting and return to school for another season with the Wolverines. Part of it was to finish his degree at Michigan as he’s the first in his family to attend college. And Corum said if he left, there was no chance he’d walk across the stage at graduation.
Corum in March said that his surgically repaired left knee has gotten strong enough that he was cleared to run on an anti-gravity treadmill, and that he would play in the season opener against East Carolina.
