We are all tied up in Columbus!

Indiana deserves a lot of credit for fighting through some early mistakes against the Buckeyes. After being forced to punt on their opening drive, the Hoosiers quickly gave up a touchdown on two explosive plays by Ohio State.

Since then, the defense has responded by forcing two punts and picking off quarterback Justin Fields twice. Entering the game, Fields had no interceptions and just 11 incompletions.

Now, the offense is also starting to wake up. The Hoosiers put together a long drive to tie the game with the big play provided by Michael Penix Jr.

He was able to shift the pocket before finding Miles Marshall behind his man with a beautiful deep ball. It was a perfect throw and flawless execution to get Indiana inside Ohio State’s five-yard line:

Penix would finish the drive off two plays later with a short touchdown toss to Whop Philyor, knotting the score at 7-all. Considering the way Indiana’s defense continues to play, it is looking like the Hoosiers will keep this one close all game long.

Hopefully Penix and the offense have some more fireworks in store for the second half.
