Booker Pickett Jr., 4-star Ohio State edge target, names final 5 teams

Booker Pickett Jr. has picked up scholarship offers from 37 schools during his recruitment. The blue-chip edge defender out of Florida has narrowed things down to 5 schools.

Ohio State made the cut for Pickett. The Buckeyes will compete with Florida State, Georgia, Miami and South Carolina to land Pickett’s commitment. Pickett previously included Penn State, Louisville, Tennessee and USC in his top 9 teams, posted in February.

A Tampa Wharton standout, Pickett is listed as measuring 6-3, 205 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Pickett is rated 4-stars, the No. 13 edge defender, No. 27 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 190 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Ryan Day’s staff got Pickett on campus for a visit in April. He offered a preview of how he would look sporting scarlet and gray.
