BOOM! Wisconsin lands in-state QB commitment for 2022 class

Wisconsin earned a commitment from 2022 quarterback Myles Burkett on Saturday afternoon.

Here’s the announcement:

This is huge news for the Badgers, who now have the leader of their 2022 class already in the fold before the 2021 class is formally wrapped up. National Signing Day is on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Since it’s still so early in the 2022 cycle, Burkett hasn’t been evaluated by all the recruiting services yet. However, 247Sports has him as the No. 17 QB in the country and a 3-star prospect overall.

Burkett is Wisconsin’s first commitment for the class of 2022.

He’s from Franklin, Wisconsin and attends Franklin High School. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds.

Burkett will follow Wisconsin signee Deacon Hill in the quarterback room. Hill is a similarly-rated prospect as the No. 21 pro-style QB in the country for the class of 2021, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
