Boomer Schooner! Oklahoma’s wagon takes scary crash on field

This was a certainly scary moment out of Oklahoma.

During Saturday’s game in Norman, the Sooners continued a tradition that has gone on for years now. At the start of the game and particularly after touchdowns, the Sooners will run out a Conestoga wagon pulled by two horses.

Nicknamed the “Sooner Schooner,” it is a cool little tradition for fans of Oklahoma. Unfortunately, that tradition took a scary turn. Literally!

On one of the runs around the field, the Schooner took the turn just a bit too fast. The entire wagon tipped and smashed on the field, throwing the driver and passenger to the turf.

Thankfully, everyone looked okay following the incident:
