Rolling the Mississippi State Bulldogs, 36-13, Joe Burrow and the No. 2 LSU Tigers improved to 7-0. Throwing for 327 yards and four touchdowns, Saturday was another positive step in Burrow’s Heisman Trophy campaign.
There was, however, one unfortunate moment for Burrow.

Burrow’s 18-yard touchdown pass to junior wide receiver Justin Jefferson late in the third quarter gave him 29 touchdown tosses on the season, the most in a single-season in program history.
Returning to Baton Rouge, LSU will host No. 11 Auburn (6-1) on October 26.
Dropping to 3-4 on the season, Joe Moorhead and Mississippi State have now lost three consecutive games. Looking to get back in the win column, the Bulldogs play Texas A&M (3-3) on Saturday in College Station.
