Braelon Allen’s status in Week 12 was questionable all the way up to game time. In the end, he played and came up with some clutch plays in the game against Nebraska.
While Allen’s overall efficiency took a hit against Nebraska’s stout defense, he led the Badgers with 62 rushing yards and delivered 2 touchdowns in the win. One of those came in overtime with Wisconsin starting the period with the ball in the hands of the offense.

On the ensuing overtime possession, Nebraska pushed itself behind the sticks and eventually faced a 4th-and-16. Chubba Purdy lofted a pass up in desperation, but it was picked off by Preston Zachman to end the game.

With the win, Wisconsin moves to a 6-5 record and now has bowl eligibility. Meanwhile, Nebraska falls to 5-6 as the bowl hopes of the Cornhuskers have dwindled. Matt Rhule’s team now needs a win over Iowa in order to qualify for the postseason.
