Braelon Allen has noticed a massive improvement from the Wisconsin Badgers since the start of fall camp.

The Badgers, looking to build off their 9-4 record from last season, will look to the sophomore back often this season.

“I’d say our growth was tremendous, from the first day of fall camp to the end,” Allen said. “Obviously you’re not going to have a great day every day, so it moves kind of up and down. At the end of the day, we’ve grown in many different areas.”

One of those areas was in the wide receiver group. The Badgers are known as more of a run-heavy offense, but redshirt freshmen receivers Skyler Bell and Markus Allen have impressed the shifty back especially in a capable receiver corps.

“Yeah, they’re crazy,” Allen said of the receivers. “I saw it during the spring when Skylar really broke out, it caught pretty much everyone by surprise. They definitely showed up during camp as well, Markus Allen, Keontez (Lewis) Dean (Engram), all those guys.”

The Badgers open their 2022 season against Illinois State on Sept. 3.
