Northwestern and Michigan State took 24 seconds to honor Kobe Bryant with a moment of silence before tipping off at the Breslin Center on Wednesday night.

Bryant, 41, and his daughter Gianna “Gigi,” were two of the nine killed in a tragic helicopter accident that occurred in California on Sunday. Several basketball teams, at all levels, are finding ways to honor Bryant and his daughter this week.

Below is the video, as shared by Big Ten Network, of Michigan State and Northwestern honoring Bryant before the game.

Bryant was a 20-year veteran of the NBA, winning five championships during his career. He was also a two-time NBA Finals MVP, a one-time league MVP (2008) and an 18-time NBA All-Star. He played his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers.
