Brett McMurphy of Action Network is back with some more bowl projections after Week 10. 9 B1G teams are making bowl games in his latest predictions.
Ohio State is the lone B1G team making the College Football Playoff, according to McMurphy. He thinks the Buckeyes will meet UCLA in the Fiesta Bowl. He also has Michigan and Penn State both reaching a New Year’s Six Bowl as well.
The teams that McMurphy left out of his projections this time around are Rutgers, Nebraska, Indiana, and Northwestern. He also didn’t have a projection for Maryland for some reason even though the Terps are 6-3.
The playoff spot for the B1G could come down to whoever wins in Michigan-Ohio State on Nov. 26. It looks like it’s going to be a two-horse race for that spot.
Here’s how McMurphy’s projections look heading into Week 11:
Ohio State
- Fiesta Bowl (CFP) vs. UCLA
Michigan
- Rose Bowl vs. Oregon
Penn State
- Orange Bowl vs. North Carolina
Illinois
- Citrus Bowl vs. Ole Miss
Wisconsin
- Music City Bowl vs. Florida
Iowa
- Duke’s Mayo Bowl vs. N.C. State
Minnesota
- Pinstripe Bowl vs. Pitt
Purdue
- Guaranteed Rate Bowl vs. Kansas State
Michigan State
- Quick Lane Bowl vs. Bowling Green
